Destiny
cancels what dreams reveal
When
darkness excludes warmth, you dream
She
sits with me,
Laughter
and tears- the two impressions of every expression
She
caresses my hair,
Silk,
soft – her fingers,
Warm,
motherly – her lap,
Her
heavy breath engulf me, a high mountain, a floating cloud, a setting sun.
Strangers
till yesterday
Acquaintances
today
Loved
once now.
A
movement you were here and now you are not
Was
this destined to be a preconceived plot?
A
farewell kiss and some unsaid words
“We
will stay in touch” you promised and I am sure
The
day we hold hands again will I feel; secure.
You
acted brave and maintained your poise
And
I had to be supportive, though did I have a choice
Accuracy
is what my heart gets when left to ponder
You
up there. I now know why they say,
“Distance
makes the heart grow fonder.”
It’s
amazing how you speak
Right
to my heart
Without
saying a word,
You
can light up the dark
I
could never explain to you
What
I hear when
You
don’t say a thing.
